Four Precautions During Screen Printing Process

For screen printing that is jointly completed by multiple people through division of labor and cooperation, only when the previous process is responsible for the next process, self inspection and self inspection of each process are done well, and quality is strictly controlled, can we produce user satisfactory screen printing products. The perfect matching between screen printing, ink, and printing is a prerequisite for obtaining good printed products. The quality of the printing plate directly determines the quality of the printed product. Printing is only an inspection of the plate making quality. However, under the premise of stable plate quality, due to the carelessness of printing workers, they cannot obtain the ideal printed product, which will cause greater waste, resulting in defective or scrap products.
Before batch printing, the printing screen should be fixed and poured into the ink for trial printing, and the level, ink color, ink layer thickness, specifications, and registration accuracy of the layout image and text replication should be checked. If the registration accuracy is poor, it can be adjusted according to the fine adjustment knob on the front of the frame; If the color of the ink is incorrect, check if the wrong ink is used and replace it immediately; If the ink is poorly applied, solvent can be used to wipe the image and text parts of the printing plate to improve the ink's permeability and wettability of the substrate to a certain extent; If there are significant differences in the order and level of graphics and text, the printing screen should be replaced immediately. The following points must be noted during the printing process.
(1) Pay close attention to the rules. Due to the continuous movement of the plate frame during printing, the plate and frame are collided and vibrated during the round-trip operation, causing small displacement between the two, resulting in inaccurate overprinting and affecting the appearance quality of the product. Therefore, it is important to observe the rules frequently, discover them in a timely manner, and make timely adjustments.
(2) Check the sample frequently. If ink shortage is found in the printed matter, the screen should be immediately wiped with a clean cotton cloth. This situation is mostly caused by the presence of broken plastic film or ink crusts on the printing plate, which dry and block the screen. If the ink color is found to be uneven or light, it may be due to excessive ink viscosity. The machine should be stopped immediately and the ink viscosity should be diluted with solvent. At the same time, gasoline should be used to wipe the graphic and textual parts of the layout to prevent ink leakage or screen blockage, so as to facilitate continuous work.
(3) The stacking of semi-finished products should be neat. During the stacking process of semi-finished products, it is necessary to make both sides of the paper hang and stack. Otherwise, the paper will form an upward bow due to its own gravity, causing both sides of the paper to tilt up and become uneven, making it difficult to transfer the paper during printing and often causing sheet breakage. If the paper stack is uneven, it can be leveled with cardboard. At the same time, the height of the paper stack should be frequently adjusted using the adjustment knob of the paper separation mechanism to ensure smooth paper transfer and smooth printing process.
(4) The blades of the drying device have been damaged due to long-term use, and in some places, they are not synchronized with the operation of the main machine, often resulting in disorderly printing on the paper rack. At this point, it is important to be quick with your eyes and hands, and immediately remove it from the bottom of the unorganized area. It is best not to make the ink film face each other to avoid sticking and causing defective or scrap products.
